It’s one of those days where I feel so small; smaller than usual. Everything I do is so trivial. Writing chemical reactions, discussing the Bible, objectifying people’s behaviors… In the end, what good will this do for me

I want to leave, explore, get lost, find my way. I want an exciting life. I want to travel and meet strangers with completely different lives. I want to end these chapters of my life where I come to a dead end. I want to move on and make my life worthwhile.

Uncertainty is a part of life but it doesn’t have to take control. I am the pioneer of how I lead my life, and I need to escape this mental jail I keep myself in. My locus of control is unknown but that shouldn’t stop me from trying. What will be, will be; I will take life by the reins and I will find my way. I want to, at least.

Project: Oscar the Onion – A short story by Matt Witt, illustrated by David Litchfield.

A few weeks ago we introduced a new project by Matt Witt and David Litchfield, an illustrated book about a special little Onion named Oscar. Read the post here. Over the next few weeks and months we will be revealing the many layers to the story of Oscar the Onion by Matt Witt, brought into glorious technicolour by the hand of David Litchfield.

David says: The drawing above is going to be part of a wider image on page 1 in which we see Oscar looking down on the streets below that has lots of kids having fun and playing together. Really hammer home the alienation that Oscar is feeling.

After a pretty hectic summer, I’m really excited to finally be making a start on bringing the world of little Oscar The Onion to life.

Matt says: The story was inspired by my little sisters, or rather I had them in mind when I was writing it. Although they are better behaved than Oscar! The story was also created for a competition to bring a vegetable patch to life. Needless to say, the story didn’t win, and I’m glad because otherwise this collaboration would not be happening.

Look out for more on the story in coming weeks.

Very low quality video of what some of my friends and I did last January 2, 2012 because we got ‘em wheels, but no driver’s license.

I’ll try uploading this and another short video I made on Vimeo next time. Sorry for this video being shaky! Do you know how hard it is to bike while taking videos? Haha!

(made the colors lomo-ish to fit the shakiness of the video- to make it look “analog”, I guess)

Bikes and friends- it’s a good combination.

I’ve always been able to write in cursive? But I do it all the time now! It’s faster but harder to understand lol :(

Wow that probably means my handwriting was really terrible in HS =))
